The service provides the provision of beds for patients who have been admitted to the Hepatology ward that have alcoholic related brain injuries, decompensated liver failure and hepatic encephalopathy. The service required is to provide patient detoxation, 1:1 keyworker session, life skills support, liaison with social workers and referrals onto other services before discharge of patients.

### Procurement Information

Framework Housing Association currently provide the service on behalf of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The service provides beds for patients that have been admitted to F21 Hepatology ward. The incumbent supplier provides a complete delivery model that includes a 24-hour, consultant-led, nursing and structured recovery orientated treatment to those aged over 18, supporting them to become abstinent from alcohol. Framework Housing Association are able to provide medically assisted detoxification/stabilisation programmed of care, tailored to address individual need. 4 beds are reserved for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust patients at all times. Continuity of the service delivery with the incumbent supplier is essential to ensure Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust patients receive the support they need. Without Framework Housing Association, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust would not be able to support patients.
