## Summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is overseeing a procurement process for a "Mental Health Drop-In service for young people," classified under Health and social work services. The service is intended to support individuals aged 7-19 experiencing emotional wellbeing issues. The contract was formally awarded on 12 March 2025, with a term from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, valuing £125,000. Located in Merseyside, this process has followed the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 with a direct award approach, bypassing the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Warrington Youth Zone, Merseyside, has been confirmed as the supplier.

This procurement offers business growth opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in youth mental health services. Service providers with existing capabilities in delivering mental health support to young people and those who can align with the direct award methodology under the Provider Selection Regime stand to benefit. Familiarity with the setting, regulatory framework, and target demographics are crucial for success. Establishing strong community roots and offering tailored, responsive services can enhance the potential for successful delivery in similar future contracts. This procurement underscores the need for adaptive and strategic service providers in the healthcare sector.
