This initiative is part of the NFCC National Fire Fighter PPE programme and aims to encompass all UK Fire and Rescue Services, as well as other organisations listed under Category 1 responders of the Civil Contingency Act 2004. The National Fire Chiefs Council and Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority also known as Kent Fire and Rescue Service, have identified a requirement for a new framework to provide Fire Fighting PPE to the sector.
