## Summary

TI LirIC Limited, a public authority under sub-central government, is conducting an active tender process for the LirIC EPCI HVDC Interconnector Converter Stations. This project involves the procurement of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning (EPCI) for converter stations connecting the electricity networks of Scotland and Northern Ireland. The competitive flexible procedure is being managed through Delta eSourcing, with a deadline for expressing interest on 20th June 2025. The procurement comprises multiple lots, including a complex mix of high voltage infrastructure and associated civil and building works, expected to reach financial close by Q3 of 2027. The project entails significant investments, totaling approximately £544 million, with opportunities for contracts commencing in March 2026.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses within the fields of engineering, construction, and utilities, particularly those experienced in high voltage infrastructure projects. Companies specialising in power converter technologies, electricity distribution, and high voltage construction are well-suited to compete. The initiative supports cross-border electricity links, fostering potential long-term partnerships and market expansion in the energy sector. Large-scale projects like this can drive business growth by securing high-value contracts and establishing a foothold within a significant infrastructure initiative in the UK and Irish markets.
