## Summary

The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "RFI for Wales Video Wall Support." This pre-market engagement is specifically aimed at sourcing maintenance and support services for video walls located at their Central Square offices in Cardiff, a highly flexible and cost-effective environment opened in 2020. This procurement, falling under the services category, seeks to cover annual service, health checks, and mechanical inspections of the video walls in the Atrium and the main news studio. Interested parties must respond to the Request for Information (RFI) by the deadline of 2nd April 2025 at 12:00 noon UK time, with services expected to commence on 21st October 2025. Key industry classification for the required services is "Repair and maintenance services of audio-visual and optical equipment" (CPV: 50340000), and the procurement will take place within the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) capable of providing specialised repair and maintenance services for high-end audio-visual equipment. Companies that possess technical expertise in handling LED maintenance, PAT testing, load-bearing component inspections, and support for Samsung and Unilumin video walls should consider participating. The provision of annual services, health checks, and emergency call-out allowances must be supported by a solid track record in the field, implying that businesses with robust service portfolios in video wall technology will be well-suited to compete. Engaging in this RFI could result in long-term partnerships with the BBC, enhancing business visibility and technical credibility within the industry.
