## Summary

This procurement involves services under the industry category of land purchase and environmental impact assessment, with a focus on reusing and building pipelines for hydrogen and CO2 transport across the UK, including Scotland, England, and Wales. The deadline for this engagement is set for 21 March 2025. The procurement process is currently at the planning stage, and the key contact for further information is Georgia Green at National Gas. Suppliers are encouraged to request the Market Questionnaire by this date to participate in the engagement.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in land assembly, consenting, and environmental services. Participating in this early market engagement can provide businesses with insights into future bidding processes, potentially securing lucrative contracts with an estimated value of GBP 200 million. The engagement seeks both national and regional suppliers, making it suitable for companies of various sizes across the UK. Suppliers with expertise in navigating Scottish legislation for land and environmental planning will find unique opportunities, particularly for the SCO2T Connect project. Additionally, the phased delivery approach allows suppliers to engage at multiple stages, fostering long-term partnerships and growth in the infrastructure and environmental sectors.

## Notice

National Gas Transmission (NGT) are looking to engage with the market and seek feedback regarding land assembly and consenting services required to deliver Project Union and SCO2T Connect. Both projects reuse and build pipelines to transport Hydrogen and C02 respectively. This is not notice of a contract opportunity, NGT are solely conducting early market engagement to receive market expertise on land, consenting and environmental services. The projects will be delivered by region in a staged phase approach therefore we would like to engage with both national and regional suppliers from across the whole of the UK.
