## Notice

Wiltshire Council aim to commission an organisation that can be the designated Responsible Body, able to enter into conservation covenants (legal agreements) with Wiltshire Council as a landowner, to formally monitor the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain on Council-owned land. A Responsible Body needs to be in place before we can register the BNG units that we generate from our conservation activities. These can then be potentially sold to developers as part of their BNG delivery commitments, easing the path of housing projects through Planning and unlocking the delivery of new homes in Wiltshire.

### Planning Information

Wiltshire Council will be holding a Market Engagement Event for interested tenderers for an upcoming Procurement. This procurement will be to seek and appoint an organisation to act as a Responsible Body, to enter into a Conservation Covenant with Wiltshire Council. Thus to enable the registration of Wiltshire Council owned land for sale of Biodiversity Net Gain habitat and hedgerow units.
