Since the inception of Bedford Borough's Early Help offer we have seen a significant increase in
Services completing Early Help Assessments requesting support for young people and their
families who may be experiencing emotional, social wellbeing and behavioural difficulties.
Counselling Services are required, as part of a continuum of provision in order to address these
needs, and to support and complement the Early Help offer. By ensuring this provision is in
place, we can help to empower, support and encourage children, young people and families
through difficult times, with the hope of them achieving independence, self-worth, motivation
and social and educational skills
