## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is organising an online Industry Engagement event titled "Strike Net Virtual Event Calling Notice", scheduled for 14 May 2025. This preliminary market engagement is focused on the naval strike network, in particular, communications and software architecture integration for Command, Control, Communication systems, and uncrewed vehicles like UAVs. The event marks a significant phase as the programme matures from concept towards delivery. Interested parties must register by 7 April 2025. This opportunity is part of the Defence procurement planning stage and suits businesses within the defence and technology industries.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in unmanned vehicles, communication satellites, and tactical command systems. Given the nature of the Naval Strike Network, companies proficient in communications bearers, peer-to-peer data sharing, and uncrewed vehicle integration will find this engagement event beneficial for networking and collaboration prospects. SMEs in the relevant industries can compete effectively, aiding their entry into defence procurement markets and fostering long-term growth through innovation and strategic partnerships.

## Notice

This is a Calling Notice only and not a tendering opportunity. The Royal Navy's Develop Directorate will host an online Industry Engagement event on 14 May 2025. The Naval Strike Network (now Strike Net) programme was launched in 2022 with a remit to deliver the common data standards and architecture to enable rapid and effective integration of uncrewed assets e.g. UAVs into the maritime deployed domain where operations are often as part of a multi-national force. In 2024 the programme's remit expanded to include the communications and software architecture to enable effective integration and delivery of effect across crewed and uncrewed platforms in a hybrid multi-national environment. As such Strike Net is at the heart of many future capabilities that are being developed in multiple operating domains. Designed for deployed operations in a contested and congested environment it has three main capability themes: - Communications bearers and management. - Peer to peer data sharing to enable third party exploitation. - Uncrewed Vehicle integration.

### Planning Information

This event is the continuation of previous industry engagements and comes as the Strike Net Design Authority is being stood up and the programme matures from concept phase towards delivery of a minimum deployable capability. It will not only provide an update on the programme status, its context within the future navy and forthcoming opportunities but also will include time for Q and A from interested partners.
