## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has awarded contracts for Project MORRIGHAN, which aims to develop platform-agnostic prototypes for logistic and medical materiel carriage and CASEVAC by heavy lift Remote & Autonomous Systems (RAS). This procurement falls under the services category in the military research and technology sector, with further classifications in research, development, and evaluation tests. The procurement method used is selective, specifically restricted, and the relevant contracts were signed on 15 January 2025. The primary delivery location is the United Kingdom.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in logistics, medical equipment, RAS technologies, and military applications. Companies with expertise in these areas can leverage this project to showcase their innovative solutions and secure a stable revenue stream. Notable suppliers awarded the contracts include ISS Group Ltd, Aether Aerospace Ltd, Black Space Technology Limited, and Skylift UAV Ltd, indicating that businesses with capabilities in autonomous systems and military logistics will be well-suited to compete in future similar tenders.

## Notice

The aim of this tasking is to develop platform agnostic working prototypes for universal carriage of logistic and medical materiel and potentially in-extremis CASEVAC by heavy lift RAS. We desire a platform agnostic universal carriage system to move variable payload combinations via both air and ground Remote & Autonomous Systems (RAS). We aim to: Draw on the knowledge and experience of industry to develop and optimise such a system; Inform its emerging doctrinal applications; and better understand the balance of both systemic and situational risk factors associated with its use. There are various operational use cases for military application in the land, littoral and sea domains. In principle, we need to move logistic, equipment support and medical materiel in varying configurations around the battlespace. We want to achieve this by pre-loading a universal carriage system with whatever is required and then attach/detach this system to/from both air and ground vehicles to move it by the most suitable method. This carriage system could also be used to evacuate casualties in extremis.
