## Summary

The procurement process centred on the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's contract for the maintenance of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Identified under the procurement ID GGC0952, this strategic acquisition falls under the industrial robots category within the goods sector. Located in Glasgow, region UKM82, this contract was part of a limited procurement method, classified as an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract, valued at £800,000, was awarded to Aerocom (UK) Limited on 13 March 2025, recognising their exclusive capability to maintain the existing AGV system due to the complex technology involved.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare logistics and robotics, particularly those capable of offering innovative maintenance solutions for advanced automated systems. Although the precise technical requirements made Aerocom (UK) Limited the sole suitable supplier for this specific tender, companies exploring strategic partnerships or niche technological advancements might find collaboration opportunities. Enterprises focusing on repair and maintenance services in the healthcare sector could benefit from understanding the intricacies of such contracts for future tender preparation. The procurement landscape presents potential growth avenues for businesses adept at navigating the complexities of limited procurement procedures and those capable of providing unique technical solutions.
