## Summary

The procurement process initiated by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for the "Provision of Upholstery Services Framework" has recently concluded, with a contract awarded on 12th November 2025. This project falls under the services category, specifically tailored towards repair and maintenance of furniture, covering regions including the UK, Guernsey, Isle of Man, and Jersey. The open procurement method facilitated a competition resulting in a multi-supplier framework agreement. The procurement stage is now at the award phase, having commenced on 23rd October 2025 and set to potentially extend to 2033. This contract offers public sector organisations an opportunity to access comprehensive upholstery services, supporting a circular economy while promoting environmentally sustainable practices.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, notably for SMEs and large enterprises involved in upholstery and maintenance services. The framework's structure—allowing for both direct awards and further competitive awards—enables flexibility for suppliers to secure contracts without necessarily undergoing repetitive competition. Businesses equipped to provide comprehensive upholstery services, including initial inspections, client consultations, cutting, sewing, and finishing within the specified regions, will find this framework particularly well-suited for their capabilities. The inclusion of both small and large enterprises in the awarded suppliers implies diverse procurement opportunities for businesses of varying scales within the furniture repair and maintenance sector.

## Notice
