## Summary

The procurement process for the "Warden Call Monitoring and Maintenance at Parklands View" contract was managed by Derby Homes Limited, focusing on the information technology services industry. This project is a service contract involving a closed protocol system, with limited procurement due to technical exclusivity, meaning only Tunstall Healthcare UK Limited could fulfil the requirements. The procurement stage has completed with the contract valued at £140,000, signed on 7th January 2025. The process did not involve prior publication of a call for competition, and it allows for the continuation of monitoring and maintenance of the emergency notification system to support the onsite care assist company at Parklands View, Derby, located in region UKF. The need for this tender arose from Derby Homes Limited's requirement to meet service level agreements and ensure system functionality.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses specialising in niche technology services, particularly those with expertise in proprietary systems. While this contract itself involves limited competition, organisations that understand regulatory processes and hold necessary certifications for specialised equipment maintenance could benefit from such dealings. Firms with strategic alliances or partnerships resembling the exclusive service delivery model of Tunstall could replicate this approach in other sectors. Consequently, businesses in information technology services, particularly those dealing with protocol-specific systems and emergency notification technologies, should view this process as a case study for potential opportunities in future procurements that require similar specialised capabilities.
