## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is conducting a public procurement process to replace two radiotherapy linear accelerators at Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow) and its satellite centre at University Hospital Monklands (Airdrie). The procurement pertains to the goods industry category, specifically radiotherapy, mechanotherapy, electrotherapy, and physical therapy devices. This tender, part of the Scottish Government's Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP), requires suppliers to act as Prime Contractors. The total estimated contract value is £5,500,000, and the process follows an open procedure, with electronic submissions due by 1st May 2025 at 10:00 AM. The contract duration is 24 months, covering the implementation and completion of the warranty period.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in medical equipment supply, particularly those experienced with radiotherapy devices. Companies meeting the financial criteria of a minimum turnover of £11 million over the last three years and possessing the required insurance levels are well-suited to compete. The contract involves turnkey implementation, with site visits required to understand project specifics. Engaging in this procurement can help businesses expand their portfolio and demonstrate compliance with community benefit obligations, contributing to the local community's well-being through NHS Scotland's Community Benefits Gateway.
