## Summary

South Gloucestershire Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for Facilities Management & Security Services, targeting the public authority sub-central government industry category. The Council, located at Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, UK, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights from potential suppliers. This procurement initiative aims to shape the future provision of services such as security, fire alarm drills, caretaking, and key holding across the Council’s corporate building assets. Interested suppliers are invited to submit their responses to the RFI by 22nd April 2025. The current contract for these services ends on 30th April 2026, with the new contract commencing on 1st May 2026, potentially extending up to seven years.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in comprehensive facilities management and security services. Companies with expertise in managing staff for security patrols, alarm responses, and building maintenance duties would find this a lucrative opportunity to expand their service portfolio. The contract’s substantial value and duration present an attractive prospect for businesses, ensuring steady revenue and long-term engagement with South Gloucestershire Council. Supplier feedback on the current specification and service levels is encouraged, offering businesses the chance to influence the final procurement strategy, making it an excellent opportunity for proactive firms in the facilities management sector.
