## Summary

Middlesbrough Council has completed a procurement process for Planned Preventative Maintenance across its commercial and operational estate, which includes over 500 units like industrial, retail, and public-facing buildings. The procurement falls within the services sector, particularly for repair and maintenance of building installations, with the award confirmed on 15th January 2026. This open competitive flexible procedure involved multiple lots, all now at the award stage, with contract commencement scheduled for 1st April 2026, running until 31st March 2029, with options for further extensions. The procurement process is centred in the UKC12 region, United Kingdom.

This tender offers numerous opportunities for businesses specializing in electrical and mechanical services to engage with a substantial public sector portfolio. Particularly, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) stand to benefit from the framework, providing a platform for growth and enhancement of their service offerings. Companies in the fields of general and specialist electrical services, as well as mechanical services, can demonstrate their expertise in handling extensive and diverse maintenance tasks, potentially leading to long-term partnership opportunities with Middlesbrough Council.
