## Summary

The contracting authority, ACIVICO (Design, Construction and Facilities Management) Limited, has extended an existing contract titled "Extension of an existing contract for the Provision of Maintenance Services" for the provision of property maintenance services. This extension covers services under the Constructing West Midlands Repair and Maintenance Framework Agreement. Initially commencing on 1 May 2020 and due to expire on 30 April 2025, the updated contract will now run until 31 March 2027. Situated in the West Midlands (region code UKG), this falls under the industry category of "Repair and maintenance services of building installations" (CPV code 50700000). The procurement method used is limited, with the selection made through a negotiated process without advertisement, justified by extreme urgency as per Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Section 72 (1) c).

This extension offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in the construction and maintenance sectors. With an additional contract value of £12 million, companies specializing in building maintenance services, especially those capable of managing large portfolios, will find this contract lucrative. The extension period allows businesses to plan strategically for future re-procurement processes anticipated in 2026, ensuring a stable project pipeline and sustained growth. Companies such as Dodd Group (Midlands) Limited, which is the current supplier, exemplify the calibre of businesses well-suited for such opportunities.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This is the extension of an existing contract for the provision of property maintenance services to a client property portfolio. The contract is a call-off contract let under the provisions of the Constructing West Midlands Repair and Maintenance Framework Agreement. The contract commenced 01 May 2020 and is due to expire on 30 April 2025 having utilised the periods of contract extension provided for in the original terms and conditions. It was the intention of Acivico (DCFM) Limited ("Acivico")to re-tender this contract in 2024. Circumstances that Acivico could not have anticipated and that were beyond its control prevented re-procurement being commenced at that time. The requirement for the services is ongoing. There are no material changes to the scope of the contract.
