## Summary

The public procurement process described involves the NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board seeking to implement an All-Age Continuing Care (AACC) Digital System, aimed at enhancing their Continuing Healthcare and Nursing Healthcare services. Managed by the NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit, this procurement process began with market engagement and proceeded through tender to the awarding of the contract. The awarded contract is valued at £520,000 GBP, following an open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023, with the its commencement set for 1st April 2026, for an initial three-year term with potential extensions up to five years. The procurement was specifically focused on IT services including software development, offering organisations within the UK region, especially those experienced in government contracting, a substantial opportunity.

This tender provides significant opportunities for companies specialising in digital healthcare solutions, particularly those capable of delivering comprehensive case management and patient interaction functionalities. SMEs, such as MCB Software Services Limited, successfully participated and were considered in the final stages of bidding, highlighting the suitability of medium-sized enterprises with robust IT service capabilities. Engaging in such projects not only opens avenues for growth through government contracts but also allows businesses to partake in innovative projects delivering critical public health services. The tender was structured to encourage collaborations and consortiums, enabling diverse business models to compete effectively, thus providing opportunities for partnerships within the health tech industry.
