## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Severn Trent Water Limited focuses on establishing a closed framework agreement for accessing quarries, materials, recycling centres, and landfill sites, which began with a market engagement notice on 2 April 2025. This framework is divided into two lots, namely, Quarries and Supply of Materials and Waste Management, aimed at supporting Severn Trent's AMP 8 period and Mains Renewal programme. The procurement employs an open procedure, facilitating opportunities for both small and large enterprises across the UK. Key dates include the tender period's closure on 22 August 2025 and the contract commencement on 1 April 2026, with a duration up to five years.

This tender presents significant opportunities for business growth, particularly for firms involved in construction materials supply, waste management services, and those offering specialised solutions like waste advisory or carbon reduction assessments. Businesses well-suited to compete in this procurement process include SMEs with capabilities to deliver construction materials or manage various waste streams, as well as large organisations with established infrastructures in the UK. The involvement in such a framework could lead to establishing long-term strategic partnerships with Severn Trent Water Limited and Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig, enabling growth and diversification in related industry sectors. Additionally, the framework's open procedure and suitability for SMEs make it accessible for a broad range of suppliers, contributing to enhanced market competitiveness.
