## Summary

Westminster City Council is embarking on a procurement process for the "Homeless Singles Supported Housing Service", which is a significant initiative under its Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2024. This process involves the recommissioning of a service that will offer accommodation-based support to homeless individuals with complex needs in London’s Marylebone and Maida Vale. The tender has moved to the award stage as of 19th December 2025, following an open procurement procedure. Key dates include a scheduled service commencement on 1st April 2026, with the initial contract running for three years, potentially extendable up to five years if deemed necessary by the council. The procurement is classified under the social work services category, emphasising collaboration with third-sector and community organisations.

This tender presents an expansive opportunity for organisations specialised in social services and related fields, particularly those with expertise in handling complex support needs such as mental health, substance misuse, and homelessness. Businesses such as SMEs and VCSEs, equipped with innovative approaches to service delivery and a focus on community-based partnerships, will find this contract beneficial for growth, offering a total value potential including expansions of up to 20% of the original budget for the five-year term. The strategic emphasis is on forming effective partnerships to support the transformation and independence of individuals in homelessness, thereby fostering long-term stability and community reintegration.
