## Summary

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is currently in the planning stage for the procurement of an Enterprise Architecture Tool Suite. This initiative aims to improve the Trust's understanding of its technology assets and their interdependencies with business processes and data. UHB, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK, serves a population of over 2.2 million from four main sites across Birmingham. Classified under IT services (CPV code 72000000), the procurement process is designed to secure services needed to develop and maintain a robust enterprise architecture framework. Interested suppliers must respond to the market engagement questionnaire via the Health Family Single eCommercial System Portal by 13:00 on Friday, 25 April 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for IT service providers, particularly those with expertise in enterprise architecture, software development, and data management. Companies equipped with experience in integrating and managing complex IT systems and possessing the capability to replace and enhance cloud-hosted solutions will find this contract particularly beneficial. Businesses that can offer comprehensive enterprise architecture services, including the creation and management of system diagrams, network topology, and data flow diagrams, will be well-suited to compete. Successful engagement with UHB on this project could lead to long-term collaboration and further opportunities within the UK's healthcare sector.
