## Summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is currently in the planning stage for a procurement titled "Stop Smoking Service (PH/2025/458)" under the category of health services. This service aims to provide specialist support to individuals aged 12 and over living, working, or studying in Stoke-on-Trent, or registered with a local GP, who smoke or vape. The key milestones include an engagement opportunity scheduled for 6th May 2025, and the service is set to be active from 1st October 2025 until 30th September 2030, with a potential extension until 2032. The procurement will involve collaboration with various partner agencies and stakeholders to offer flexible, evidence-based support using technology and AI tools to help people quit smoking.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, smoking cessation, and behavioural support tools. It is particularly well-suited for providers experienced in delivering personalised health interventions and those proficient in using technology to enhance service delivery. Businesses that can engage effectively with priority groups, including pregnant women, people in social housing, and young adults, are encouraged to compete, as the service intends to significantly improve the local population's health and wellbeing by reducing smoking rates. Additionally, the management of pharmacy contracts will require capable service providers to ensure comprehensive support across pharmacy settings. This tender can help expand your market reach and establish a strong presence in public health initiatives within Stoke-on-Trent.
