## Summary

The Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom has awarded a contract titled "705910451 (TSSP/142) - Instrumented Live Training Area Weapons Effect Simulator (ILT-A) Contractor Logistic Support, Repair and Post Design Services," classified under CPV category 50660000 for repair and maintenance services of military electronic systems. This procurement falls under the defence services industry and is located in Bristol, UK. The procurement stage is classified as Award, and the contract was signed on 19th March 2025. The contract has an initial period of two years with an option to extend for a further three years, amounting to £97,045,304.29 excluding VAT, and includes fixed cost options subject to Variation of Price (VOP).

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in defence services, particularly those capable of providing innovative logistic support, repair, and advanced design services for military training systems. Companies with technical expertise in simulating and recording the effects of weapon engagements and integrating vehicle systems for live fire exercises will find this contract particularly lucrative. The negotiated procurement method without publication indicates the necessity for specific technical expertise, making it an ideal opportunity for established defence contractors like Cubic Defence UK, the awarded supplier. Businesses capable of expanding these systems globally into undefined training areas may also find further growth potential.

## Notice

ILT-A enables the simulation of area effects such as fire missions, danger areas like minefields, and permits the tracking and monitoring of participants (players) while dismounted, in vehicles and structures. The system provides man worn and vehicle instrumentation and an engagement capability for lighter weapons, as part of collective training. It simulates and records the effects of weapon engagements and enables realistic and challenging training. The contract will also allow for further developed instrumentation for Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises (CALFEX) along with potential for future Vehicle Integration. There is also a possibility of expansion of the systems into currently undefined training areas globally. The Contract is for an initial period of two (2) years with the option to extend for a further three (3) years. The initial value of the Contract is PS29,593,483.33 ex VAT, and with Costed Options PS97,045,304.29 ex VAT. The Contract contains some fixed cost options which are subject to Variation of Price (VOP) and therefore likely to increase the total value.
