## Summary

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority, acting as the contracting authority for the National Police Air Service (NPAS), invites tenders for the "BLC0172 - NPAS Fuel Farms Maintenance and Inspection" project. This procurement process, carried out under an open procedure, seeks services in the repair and maintenance industry, specifically for aircraft and associated equipment. The service area covers 15 bases across England and Wales, operating under a centralised functional model. Key dates include the end of the tender period on 1st June 2026, with the expectation to award the contract by 24th June 2026, and start the contract on 1st September 2026. The procurement policy allows electronic submissions in English through a specified online platform.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in maintenance services, particularly those capable of handling large-scale, multi-site contracts across the UK. Companies that demonstrate strong technical expertise, reliability in managing 24/7 operations, and flexibility for ad hoc call-outs will be well-placed to compete. With a contract value of up to £1.8 million and options for extensions, this procurement can offer substantial business growth for firms well-acquainted with aviation maintenance standards like JIG4, while also potentially boosting their reputation in the public safety sector.
