## Summary

Nuclear Waste Services Limited, located in Calderbridge, Seascale, United Kingdom, has concluded the procurement process for the "Treatment & Conditioning Services Framework (2026-2030)" contract. The procurement, classified under the services category of radioactive waste treatment, follows an open procedure method, ensuring a competitive tendering environment. The process reached the award stage on 5th June 2026, with a contract period set to commence on 13th August 2026 and end on 12th August 2030. Key industry activities include incineration, supercompaction, and chemical treatment services, facilitating comprehensive radioactive waste management from collection to disposal. Notably, the framework supports organisations engaged in the integrated waste management programme, with a total contract value of £47.5 million (gross: £57 million).

This tender opens numerous opportunities for large-scale suppliers specialising in radioactive waste treatment. The requirement for comprehensive end-to-end waste lifecycle management services creates a substantial market for firms with expertise in incineration, supercompaction, and related processes. Businesses that can demonstrate robust capabilities in handling radioactive materials within stringent compliance standards are well-suited to explore opportunities under this framework. The involvement of Cyclife UK, Tradebe Inutec, and Veolia ES (UK) Limited as successful suppliers underscores the competitive landscape where large, technically adept companies can thrive, leveraging both public and private sector contracts. This framework, with access to a diverse range of public sector clients, holds potential for significant business growth and the establishment of enduring client relationships in the radioactive waste management sector.
