## Summary

The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking tenders for the maintenance of firing ranges and related equipment, which includes both reactive and planned services along with statutory inspections. This open procurement procedure is set within the public authority - sub-central government category and focuses on deleading services. Located across the MPS Estate in London (region UKI32), the procurement is in the planning stage with significant key dates: the tender period ends on 4th August 2025, and the award is anticipated by 10th September 2025. The contract is valued at £2,253,000 net (gross amount £2,703,600) and will commence on 29th April 2026, with the possibility of renewal to extend its duration up to seven years.

This procurement offers substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in maintenance services and statutory compliance testing. The contract is notably suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing a 24/7/365 maintenance operation requirement across a diverse portfolio of tasks. The open procedure allows a wide range of businesses to participate, enabling smaller enterprises to compete on a large-scale government contract. Furthermore, suppliers can undertake small projects up to £25k per project, enhancing their scope beyond the primary maintenance contract. This tenders’ breadth and scope provide ample opportunity for growth and engagement in the public sector service industry.
