## Summary

The procurement process for the "Specialist Stop Smoking Service" is managed by Stockton on Tees Borough Council, a regional authority in the United Kingdom. The service falls under the industry category of rehabilitation services and aims to support the public health functions outlined by local regulations. This process reached the award stage as of 9th April 2025, after satisfying the necessary criteria under the Provider Selection Regime. The contract, valued at £564,849, has been awarded to the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The procurement method employed was limited, allowing an award without prior publication of a call for competition, considering the existing provider already meets required standards.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in health services or smoking cessation programmes. Businesses with capabilities in training, competency support, and data management for stop smoking services may find this contract appealing, given the emphasis on evidence-based smoking cessation and training provisions outlined in the tender. With options for two six-month extensions, companies can leverage this contract to expand their service footprint within the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. The tender's design to work within existing partnerships poses a strategic opportunity for large-scale providers with established excellence in service delivery.
