## Summary

The NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board has formally awarded a contract for the "Leaving Care Counselling & Psychotherapy Service (Suicide Prevention)" with a focus on supplying psychiatrist or psychologist services. This procurement belongs to the services category, and the contract covers the London areas, particularly within the boroughs of Islington, Haringey, and Camden. The contract commenced on 1st April 2025 and is set to conclude on 31st March 2026. This award was conducted through a limited procurement method under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, a method that skips prior publication of a call for competition, and the contract was valued at £19,570 without any option for an extension. Key amendments announced this contract as a direct award under Process C, with formal contract confirmation made on 24th April 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for service providers specializing in psychotherapy and mental health services, particularly those experienced in handling the nuanced needs of care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. Businesses with a strong track record in providing integrative psychotherapy sessions and achieving improved mental health outcomes are well-suited to compete. Additionally, organisations demonstrating value through meeting the London Living Wage standards and addressing health inequalities could gain a competitive advantage, aligning with the social value and access improvement criteria outlined in the procurement process. The continuation of this service promises sustained engagement for organisations already integrated into the local health system, improving both service delivery and community health outcomes.
