## Summary

The Tees Valley Combined Authority, situated in Darlington, concluded a contract termination for the "Community Energy 'Seeing is Believing' Programme" on 1st April 2026. Classified under the industry of education and training services, this initiative was initially part of an active tender process to enhance the Community Energy sector and Local Authorities across the North East and Yorkshire regions. The procurement used an open procedure, spanning from a contract initiation date on 13th August 2025 to an original contract end date on 31st March 2026. The programme aimed to facilitate various activities like bus tours, site visits, and networking events. Despite its completion and fulfilling the contract terms, the programme's contract status was formally marked as terminated due to completion of the contract, with a gross contract value totalling £93,900 GBP.

This procurement process represents an important opportunity for businesses involved in the delivery of educational and community engagement services. Organisations skilled in managing large-scale, community-focused programmes that span multiple regions can particularly benefit from participating in similar tenders. Businesses that can deliver innovative engagement strategies, foster regional collaboration, and manage logistics for widespread project locations will find such procurement opportunities very advantageous. SMEs are especially encouraged to engage, as the programme underscores a critical focus on building capacity and fostering relationships in the community energy sector—a growing area with significant potential for impact and business growth.
