## Summary

The NHS Blood and Transplant organisation in Bristol is in the tender stage of procuring a Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data Management Software System. This procurement, scheduled under the UK Procurement Act 2023, is being conducted using a competitive flexible procedure and encompasses a multi-stage process. The tender focuses on acquiring software essential for statistical analysis, data management, and reporting. The total estimated contract value ranges up to £360,000, with submissions required by 29 July 2025. Potential suppliers will pass through a selective process with an aim to finalise the contract by 1 December 2025. The SPC system will enhance data handling efficiency at multiple NHSBT locations, and the solution is intended to be a partially 'off the shelf' software customised to their needs.

This tender offers a pivotal opportunity for IT and software development companies, especially those specialising in statistical software solutions, to supply and configure a product tailored to the precise requirements of a central government authority. Businesses equipped with a robust 'off the shelf' software that can be significantly configured to meet custom needs, particularly those compatible with NHS IT services, will find this opportunity particularly attractive. SMEs are encouraged to participate due to the tender's positive inclination towards smaller businesses. The prospective supplier stands a chance to provide a solution that not only aids in improved data management and automation for NHSBT but also solidifies their market presence and expands their clientele base in the healthcare sector.
