Changes to the zones are immediately pushed to a set of resilient secondary nameservers to provide high availability and give added peace of mind. The nameservers are all situated on the Janet Network backbone and are geographically separated as a precaution against risks such as fire or network connection failure. What are we looking for? Jisc is refreshing this DNS infrastructure and intends to procure a) a self-service web portal and [where appropriate] b) a DNS nameserver solution. We are considering a mix of AWS and on-premise environments for deployment.
