## Summary

Liverpool City Council has completed a procurement process for commissioning safe accommodation services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse. The initiative is aimed to deliver a minimum of 58 safe accommodation units, segmented into three categories: 32 units for women with children, 22 units for single women, and 4 units for men, including those with children. The contracting process, following an open procedure, has been divided into three lots, each fully awarded as of 2025. The companies involved in the award phase include large-scale suppliers such as the Liverpool YMCA. Contracts have been activated as of 1st September 2025, with a planned end date of 31st August 2026, extendable in one-year increments up to 2028, subject to funding availability. The procurement resides under a light touch regime within the health and social work services category, with services delivered in the Liverpool region.

This procurement presents significant potential for business development, particularly for enterprises in the health and social care sectors. The opportunity caters well to both large organisations and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), encouraging competition through the open procurement method. As demonstrated by the active contract award, participating businesses benefit from consistent service delivery contracts, with options for renewal ensuring sustained business relationships and strategic growth within the community support infrastructure. Businesses with expertise in delivering health and social services, particularly those with experience in catering to vulnerable populations, will find this opportunity aligns well with their service offerings and strategic objectives.
