## Summary

Tai Hedyn Limited, a significant housing association based in East Wales, is orchestrating an Asbestos Management Framework covering air monitoring, surveying, bulk sampling, removal, and reinstatement works. This initiative spans vital sectors such as building safety and estate maintenance, across various locales including UKL21, UKL24, and UKL16. The framework utilises an open procurement method and is split into two distinct lots, each involving scheduled works up to February 2028, with possible extensions until 2030 based on performance. The Asbestos Management Framework, underpinned by Welsh devolved regulations, commenced its current contract phase on 1st March 2026, following prior planning and tendering stages. It is facilitated through an appointed framework ranking system, where tasks estimated over £5,000 require contractors to participate in a mini-competition.

This framework presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs specialising in asbestos inspection and remediation services. Contractors such as Enquin Environmental Limited, Life Environmental Services Limited, Severn Insulation Co Limited, and Woods Building Services, cater to varied asbestos management needs, leveraging their proficiency to deliver cost-effective solutions in strict compliance with prevailing health and safety legislation. Such procurements, focusing on framework services needing high technical and quality adherence, invite competitive bids that bolster business growth through guaranteed engagements in critical environmental health services across multiple regions. The framework accommodates a selective tender process, ensuring participating entities align with stringent regulatory standards while contributing to sustainable habitat management across Southern Wales.
