## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by Stevenage Borough Council, involves a pre-procurement market engagement for a concession contract titled "SBC 0325 Pre-Procurement Market Engagement Questionnaire for Water Inflatable Feature and Ancillary Activities". This process belongs to the services industry category, specifically concerning leisure equipment and recreational, cultural and sporting services, located in Stevenage, United Kingdom. The procurement is in the planning stage, with key deadlines including a clarification/question deadline on 30th April and a submission date of 7th May 2025. The project aims to test the market to find suitable operators for an Aquatic Adventure facility for the 2025 season, necessitating operators to have relevant accreditations and equipment investment. The planned contract period extends from 31st May 2025 to 31st October 2029, with the potential for renewal.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in leisure services and equipment, particularly those with experience in operating aquatic facilities. Companies specialising in water-based recreational facilities, possessing the necessary accreditation and infrastructure investment capacity, would find this an appealing opportunity. The concession involves a percentage of gross turnover, providing potential for substantial revenue generation. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, supporting diversified business growth in the sector. This engagement process is not only an avenue to secure a four-year contract but also a chance to establish a presence in a public leisure project within Hertfordshire.
