## Summary

Cheshire East Council is spearheading the procurement process for the "Children and Young People's Advocacy and Independent Visitor Service" intended for delivery within Cheshire East, UK. This initiative primarily falls under the health and social work services category. The tender follows an open procedure and is in the award stage as of April 23, 2026. Cheshire East Council aims to consolidate services under a single provider, with the tender offering services divided into advocacy, independent visitor services, and age assessment support for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. The initial contract period begins on June 1, 2026, extending till May 31, 2029, with options for further two-year extensions. The contract is valued at £885,180 gross, highlighting substantial investment in community-focused services.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary sector organisations, especially those involved in social work and advocacy for young people. Businesses with expertise in health and social work services are well-positioned to compete for this contract, providing a platform to expand their footprint in the public sector. The procurement's focus on advocacy and independent visitor services aligns well with companies that have experience delivering targeted support to vulnerable groups, offering them the chance to contribute effectively to Cheshire East's Community Development goals. With an open competition method, interested parties have a fair chance to demonstrate their capabilities and innovative approaches to meeting the community's needs.
