## Summary

The public procurement process undertaken by Broxtowe Borough Council, with Nottinghamshire County Council as the procuring entity, focuses on the provision of innovative gym equipment for the new Stapleford Community Pavilion. This contract is classified within the goods procurement category, primarily dealing with fitness equipment, and it falls under the open procurement method, below threshold. The centre, supported by multiple funds including the Local Towns Fund, aims to foster community health and well-being. Located in the UKF16 region, the project's timeline includes a contract start date of 15th September 2025, extending over five years until 14th September 2030. The contract has been awarded to Pulse Fitness Limited, involving a gross amount of GBP 148,534.76.

The opportunity provided by this tender is significant for businesses that specialise in advanced technological fitness solutions. Since the project requires equipment that serves self-managing capabilities, businesses with expertise in smart gym technologies stand to gain prominently. Development in this area could lead to enhanced community engagement and showcase the capacity of cutting-edge fitness innovations. SMEs with a focus on sustainable and innovative gym solutions are particularly suited to compete and enhance their market reputation through such public procurement projects.

## Notice

Nottinghamshire County Council ("the Council") on behalf of Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking competitive quotes for provision of exercise equipment for the gym setting in the new Stapleford Community Pavilion (SCP). The centre will be operated by Liberty Leisure Limited (LLL) on behalf of Broxtowe Borough Council. Stapleford Community Pavilion (SCP) is currently under construction and due for completion later in 2025. It will replace the existing sports pavilion on the open space at Hickings Lane, Stapleford. Supported by the Local Towns Fund, Levelling up, Football Association Lionesses Futures Fund and Broxtowe Borough Council the venue will be at the heart of the Stapleford community which will be operated by Liberty Leisure Limited (the Customer). Liberty Leisure Limited is a not-for-profit Company owned by Broxtowe Borough Council with the responsibility for supporting the Council to improve the Health & Wellbeing of the community through leisure activities. The fitness facility if being offered to: * Provide additional exercise opportunities to the community * Enhance the health related exercise provision that can be offered * Bring users in to the Stapleford Pavilion The fitness facility will utilise one of the smaller multi-use rooms for a small gym that can cater for all abilities and ages. Due to the size of the facility it would not be financially viable to staff the gym for the majority of the time so it must be self-managing. Based on this the proposed equipment must be able to be utilised simply and provide an induction, programme and directions for use without a member of staff. To achieve this requires a move away from traditional gym equipment to ones that are able to induct users and allow for safe and effective use with minimal input from staff. The equipment must be technologically driven and allow customers to be able to login to the equipment and complete a tailored workout that can be automatically prescribed to them based on their preferences. We are looking for a provider who will take an innovative approach to the gym set-up and offer added value. All associated costs must be included in the price submitted. Broxtowe Borough Council require a Single Supplier to carry out this work, use of sub contractors is allowed but a list must be provided and they would have to meet the criteria as set out in the specification. Contract Length 5 years.
