This contract is part of the health services industry category under CPV code 85100000 and involves providing NHS Talking Therapies, Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and bereavement counselling. The procurement method used was a direct award procedure without prior publication, following the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Although this contract has been awarded to Everyturn Mental Health, located in Gosforth, it remains crucial for businesses in the health services sector to note that opportunities of this nature exemplify the integration and collaboration required to reduce health inequalities and improve access to mental health services.

The PCMH service contract in Wirral represents significant business growth opportunities, especially for large-scale organisations experienced in healthcare service provision. Given the focus on quality, innovation, integration, and social value, companies specialising in psychological therapies, CBT, or bereavement counselling might find similar procurement opportunities appealing. The service aims to improve access, reduce health inequalities, and facilitate choice among patients registered with a Wirral GP. The direct award process highlights the importance of maintaining high service standards, offering further partnership opportunities under the Provider Selection Regime for organisations capable of sustaining such initiatives in mental health care.
