## Summary

The NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board has concluded the procurement process for community mental health services under the Provider Selection Regime. This process, guided by the Health Care Services Regulations 2023, has led to the award of contracts for two lots: Lot 1 - Healthy Minds Service, and Lot 2 - Depression and Wellbeing Calls. The contracts, which extend from 1st October 2025 to 30th September 2028 with an optional 24-month extension, aim to deliver mental wellbeing support and depression management in the Mid and South Essex region. The procurement was open and competitive, culminating in the selection of Thurrock and Brentwood Mind as the service provider, known for engaging subcontractors like Trust Links and others. The standstill period concluded on 12th August 2025 with no representations filed, hence the formal award of the contract. The services are classified under "Community health services" with a focus on delivering comprehensive support and innovation in mental health interventions, particularly addressing health inequalities and promoting community resilience.

This procurement presents significant growth opportunities for businesses in the healthcare and related sectors, especially those specialising in mental health services. Companies with expertise in medical services, social care, and community support are well-positioned to compete for similar opportunities, particularly those equipped to offer innovative and integrative service models. Businesses that can demonstrate excellence in collaboration and the delivery of socially valuable services will find such tenders conducive for expansion into the valuable public health sector while addressing critical community needs. The expected expenditure for the two lots is capped over a three-year term, with a significant potential for additional revenue through optional extensions, making it an attractive prospect for sustained business growth in the health economy.
