## Summary

Medway Council, located in Chatham, United Kingdom, initiated an open procurement procedure for the "Provision of income management and payment platform solution (IM&PPS) - 2025," focusing on IT services such as consulting, software development, and support. The process has now reached the award stage, with the contract valued at £480,000, awarded to Access Paysuite Limited. The contract period is scheduled from 20 January 2026 to 31 August 2028, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. The procurement aimed to integrate and streamline various payment and finance management systems, including Worldpay and Opayo, to improve efficiency for the Council's ICT and Finance teams.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for IT service providers, particularly those specialising in payment platform solutions and systems integration. Businesses with a focus on e-commerce, finance monitoring, and mobile-compatible technologies will find themselves well-positioned to meet the Council's diverse requirements. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged, benefiting from Medway Council's emphasis on quality and collaboration with smaller suppliers, as evidenced by Access Paysuite Limited's successful bid. The procurement process favours innovative solutions that comply with current legislation and enhance electronic and physical financial transaction management for a large user base.
