## Summary

Newcastle City Council has initiated a tender process for the Newcastle Home Care Services Framework, aiming to provide quality care services to eligible adults within Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. The framework is active and operates in the services category, focusing on health and social work services. This open procurement procedure, set by the 2023 Procurement Act, spans four geographical lots including North, East, Inner West, and Outer West zones, and covers services 365 days a year from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The tender process began on 20th April 2026, with the submission deadline on 20th May 2026, and potential service commencement on 5th September 2026. This initiative underscores the council's commitment to facilitating independent living for elderly and disabled adults, those with mental health needs, and individuals with specific medical requirements.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in care and support services, to secure a long-term contract worth £139,320,000. The framework is open to new entrants and existing providers, offering terms through successive frameworks. Companies focusing on health and social work can expand their operations and influence in the Newcastle area. The framework prioritises quality and responsiveness, with a scoring system based on acceptance of fixed hourly rates and ability to meet the needs of service users promptly. Therefore, businesses excelling in service delivery, technological implementation, and meeting the national eligibility criteria are encouraged to participate, allowing them to grow their market presence and contribute to meaningful community support services.
