This contract, valued at £27,000,000 annually, is set to commence on 22nd June 2026 and will expire on 21st June 2029, with an option to extend for two additional three-year periods. This includes (but is not limited to) adults who have assessed care and support needs associated with older age, sensory impairment, dementia, learning disability, physical disability, physical ill health, disrupted lifestyle patterns, substance misuse and mental illness. Service Provider must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and deliver Services in accordance with the registration requirements of the CQC, complying with all relevant regulations and best practice guidelines. The estimated value of the Framework is approximately PS27,000,000 Framework annual value. Total value including extensions PS243,000,000. The anticipated commencement date for the Framework is 22nd June 2026. The anticipated expiry date for the Framework is 21st June 2029, with the option to extend for a further two (2) periods of three (3) years each. The Framework will be established under the Light Touch Regime and therefore the Council will use the flexibilities this affords the Council for example ability to reopen the framework at the Council's discretion. This contract details notice is for Lot 8 Holme Valley ### Lot Information Heckmondwike & Spenborough Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Batley Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Dewsbury & Mirfield Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Huddersfield Central West Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Huddersfield Central East Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Dearne Valley Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Colne Valley Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. Holme Valley Renewal: The contract can be extended by 2 periods of 3 years each. ### Planning Information Kirklees Council currently commissions approximately 21,000 hours per week of home support services through a DPS supporting approximately 1500 people. This arrangement will come to an end on 21st June 2026, and will be replaced by a new commissioning model designed to improve outcomes for service users, enhance provider sustainability, and support innovation in care delivery. CQC registered providers of home support services are invited to attend a bidders engagement event on 16th October 2025. The event will introduce the new commissioning model that will replace the DPS on 22nd June 2026, and will provide an overview of the upcoming procurement process and timeline for home support services in Kirklees , alongside giving an opportunity for providers to ask questions in relation to the tender. Please note that the contract requires that the provider office from which the contract will be delivered, upon commencement and throughout the life of the contract, has been inspected by the CQC, has a rating of 'Requires Improvement' or above and the base of the operation is within a 5 mile radius of the Kirklees Boundary.
