## Summary

Leicestershire County Council, trading as ESPO, has completed a public procurement process for a national framework involving the supply, installation, service, and maintenance of stairlifts, steplifts, vertical through-floor lifts, and hoists for domestic settings. The framework, initiated in the tender stage, commenced on 1 July 2026 and is set to run until 30 June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional two years if necessary. This procurement, with an estimated total framework value of £36 million, was conducted via an open procedure, providing extensive opportunities across the United Kingdom under several lots. The final award notice was published on 17 June 2026, and potential suppliers were informed via multiple publications on the EastMidsTenders platform.

The procurement process presents substantial business growth opportunities for companies in the mobility and accessibility sector, particularly those supplying and servicing lifts and hoists. This framework is well-suited for both large enterprises and SMEs with expertise in the installation and maintenance of domestic mobility solutions. The comprehensive framework approach allows businesses to engage in competitive selection processes and ensures broad participation from firms capable of meeting ESPO's requirements, thus fostering robust market growth and innovation in mobility aids for domestic settings across the UK.
