## Summary

Leeds City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process involving a market sounding exercise for the provision of Healthwatch services in Leeds. The focus is on engaging suitably qualified and experienced organisations to deliver services that ensure local health and social care systems are improved and aligned with community needs. This initiative is categorised under health and social work services and affects the Leeds area, specifically the UKE42 region. The process is facilitated through a market engagement exercise that began on 13th May 2025 and is due to conclude on 4th June 2025. The potential contract seeks to maintain funding at £374,400 per annum, from 2028 up to 2035, with an optional three-year extension.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the health and social care sector, particularly those capable of engaging in partnerships with a variety of stakeholders from the public, private, and voluntary sectors. Organisations with experience in providing high-quality health and social care based on user feedback and participation are ideally positioned to compete. Companies engaged in Healthwatch activities or those rolling out similar initiatives will find this tender an attractive prospect for expanding their reach and impact, especially given the proposed long-term contract arrangement.
