## Summary

The University of Exeter is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process concerning the supply of clinical and chemical waste collection services. The contracting process is focused on the healthcare and chemical waste management industry, with services needed across various campuses including Streatham, St Luke's, and Exeter Science Park, among others. This procurement, under the tender ID UOE/2025/015/SB, is set in the United Kingdom (region: UKK) and is guided by the legal basis of UKPGA 2023/54. A preliminary market engagement notice has been published, and suppliers are encouraged to complete a questionnaire accessible via the University's eTendering portal by 28 May 2025. The tender value is set at £488,400 gross, and the service contract period is anticipated from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2027, with the possibility of renewal.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in waste management services, particularly those focused on handling clinical, chemical, and hazardous waste. Companies well-suited to compete are those with expertise in refuse and waste-related services, especially those qualified to manage radioactive, toxic, medical, and hazardous waste.
