## Summary

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is in the planning stage for a procurement process concerning body worn video (BWV) hardware and accessories. The project, titled "Body Worn Video (BWV) hardware and accessories" under tender ID A1174, aims to replace existing assets as part of an annual refresh programme. The process is anticipated to commence in the second quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year, with the procurement expected to be managed by Greater Manchester Police. A decision between using an existing framework or conducting a new tender will be finalised following a market review. The procurement will take place in the region of UKD3, United Kingdom, with the tender notice planned for 1st September 2025. The contract period is intended to run from 15th December 2025 to 14th December 2029, under the goods category, specifically focusing on computer equipment and supplies.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in technology and equipment supply, particularly those with expertise in video and camera solutions. Companies that can provide innovative and quality solutions in BWV equipment will be well-positioned to capitalise on this contract. Additionally, businesses registered with or familiar with the Bluelight Emergency Services eTendering system, Sell2Bluelight, should find the opportunity to engage with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority advantageous for expanding their presence within the public sector. This tender offers a substantial growth opportunity for suppliers able to meet the technical specifications and support Greater Manchester Police in their BWV requirements.
