## Notice

Lancashire County Council was seeking tenders for the provision of Street Sweepings Treatment Services. The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing and Treatment of Street Sweepings arising from the Waste Collection Authority district areas and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Waste Collection Authority, the Authority, and/or their transport contractor(s). The Treatment of Street Sweepings by the Provider shall ensure the Recovery of reusable materials (e.g. aggregates, organics) is maximised, ensuring any elements of waste residues to landfill is minimised. The requirements are split into two lots: - Lot 1 - Street Sweepings delivered by the Lancashire County Council and/or its transport contractor; and - Lot 2 - Street Sweepings delivered by Waste Collection Authorities in East Lancashire.

### Lot Information

Lot 1 - Street Sweepings delivered by the Authority

The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing and treatment of street sweepings arising from the Waste Collection Authority district areas of Blackpool, Chorley, Fylde, Lancaster, Preston, Ribble Valley, South Ribble, West Lancashire, and Wyre, and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Authority, and/or its transport contractor(s).

Options: Lancashire County Council has the option to extend the contract by a further period or periods of 12 (twelve) months up to a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months, provided that the total duration does not exceed four years.

Renewal: The initial contract period will be two years, after such time the Lancashire County Council may extend the contract by a further period or periods of 12 (twelve) months up to a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months, provided that the total duration does not exceed four years.

Lot 2 - Street Sweepings delivered by Waste Collection Authorities in East Lancashire

The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing and treatment of street sweepings arising from the Waste Collection Authority district areas of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, and Rossendale, and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Authority, and/or its transport contractor(s).

Options: Lancashire County Council has the option to extend the contract by a further period or periods of 12 (twelve) months up to a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months, provided that the total duration does not exceed four years.
