## Summary

Surrey County Council has recently awarded a contract for the provision of additional smoking cessation services under its Smokefree Surrey initiative. This contract is part of a broader governmental effort to establish a Smokefree Generation, with local Stop Smoking Services enhanced through a substantial annual grant. The contract, valued at approximately £2.28 million inclusive of VAT, was awarded to THRIVE TRIBE LIMITED on 18 July 2025 and is valid until 30 April 2026, with the possibility of extension until 2029. The tender process is complete, and the service delivery aligns with Surrey's Health and Wellbeing Strategy to reduce health inequalities.

This tender offers significant opportunities for companies in the public health and health service sectors to expand their influence and impact by aligning with Surrey's commitment to public health improvements. Businesses that are innovative, quality-driven, and have capabilities in integrating health services and collaborating at a community level are well-positioned to thrive in this initiative. The emphasis on addressing health inequalities and driving social value underscores the demand for providers capable of delivering high-quality, sustainable health services. This contract represents a valuable business growth opportunity for firms specialising in health and social services, particularly those seeking to engage with local government health initiatives.
