## Summary

The public procurement process regarding the "VAWG Expert Reference Group Recommission" is managed by The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). This project falls under the health and social work services industry category and is located in London, UK. The procurement is in the planning stage, with a market engagement event scheduled for 2nd June 2025 from 2.30-4pm via MS Teams, and the deadline to sign up for the event is 30th May 2025. The procurement outlines a gross value of GBP 420,000, with an expected contract period from 1st October 2025 to 30th April 2029. The initiative aims to redesign and commission a specialist secretariat service for maintaining an independent VAWG Expert Reference Group in London.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for growth, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs). Businesses with expertise in health and social work services, especially those focusing on violence against women and girls (VAWG), are well-suited to compete. Engaging in this process provides businesses with the platform to collaborate with a recognised public authority, offering potential for establishing long-term relationships and expanding their services in partnership with MOPAC. The market engagement event offers vital networking opportunities and insights into MOPAC's strategic priorities, essential for potential bidders to tailor their proposals effectively.

## Notice

The MOPAC VAWG Expert Reference Group is an independent, non-statutory group of VAWG sector experts, whose role is to represent women and girls, victims and survivors, and their organisations, at decision-making levels. Members of the Expert Reference Group (ERG) share insights, expertise and constructive challenge, and speak with (as much as possible) a collective voice, to ensure that the needs, experience and priorities of the VAWG VCS are represented across various platforms, including the London VAWG Board, MOPAC VAWG commissioning and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). There is a current service in place, provided by the Women's Resource Centre (WRC). Co-chairs of the ERG are elected by member organisations, and participate as members of the London VAWG Board. MOPAC also consults with the ERG regularly to gather feedback on strategic priorities. The ERG facilitates engagement between the VAWG sector and the MPS, and acts as a forum for consultation on the MPS' work to improve trust and confidence. The purpose of this project is to redesign and commission a specialist VAWG VCS-led secretariat service to maintain an independent, non-statutory VAWG Expert Reference Group for London so that voices of women and girls are reflected in decision-making across the VAWG system. MOPAC will be holding a market engagement event on 2nd June 2025 from 2.30-4pm on MS Teams. Please contact us at VAWG@mopac.london.gov.uk to sign up by 30th May 2025 with your name, organisation and email address. Following this, you will be sent an invite to join the session. For those unable to make the market engagement event, after the event has taken place any slides and Q&A's asked at the event will be uploaded to the Delta eSourcing portal at: https://www.delta-esourcing.com/tenders/UK-title/7QP67N556X
