Lot 1

Award a contract to deliver a short term 4 month contract to SRCL Limited t-a Stericycle for Clinical Waste Services. The total contract value for 4 months is PS180,000. It is proposed that the term of this new contract will be 4 months, with services running from 1 April 2025. This contract will then revert to a 1 month rolling arrangement to allow for the contract to be extended and ceased as required. The ICB issued a VEAT on the 14th March 2025, 2025/S 000-009446 and observed a 10 day standstill period. The contract has now been awarded.

Options: I month rolling contract following the expiry of the initial contract period of 4 months.

### Procurement Information

A procurement process has been undertaken and the award decision has been challenged. This has prevented final award and therefore requires a short term contract with the existing provider to ensure that there is a continuation of vital services for primary care settings (GP's and Pharmacy) whilst this challenge is resolved. The Authority believes competition is absent for the technical reasons outlined above and the potential for patient harm and disruption.
