## Summary

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), a central government public authority, is currently in the planning stage for procurement related to facilities management services. The main procurement category involves services, and it is aimed at supporting NHSBSA's dispersed property portfolio across multiple locations including Newcastle upon Tyne, Blackpool, Wakefield, Bolton, and Eastbourne. This process complies with the Procurement Act 2023 and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Key dates include the registration opening on 19th May 2025 for interested parties aiming to participate in the Request for Information (RFI) process. A significant milestone is the supplier briefing session scheduled for 23rd June 2025, with written RFI responses due by 7th July 2025. The potential contract, expected to span from April 2027 to March 2032, includes options for renewal until 2034, and holds a gross value of approximately £24 million.

This procurement presents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the facilities management sector, particularly those offering comprehensive services such as building management, construction, and environmental services. The engagement sessions are designed to inform suppliers about upcoming opportunities and refine the future procurement strategy. Businesses suited to compete in this tender would include those capable of delivering a Total Facilities Management model, with a strategic focus on compliance, data-driven asset management, and stakeholder engagement. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in facilities management services are encouraged, as the tender suitability criteria are favourable to smaller operators. Participants who engage early in the market engagement have the chance to influence procurement strategies before the route to market is finalised. However, interest at this stage does not confer any competitive advantage, as the NHSBSA is committed to ensuring equal treatment for all potential suppliers.
